Production Manager

Full time position for someone with staff supervision, warehouse management and food production experience.  This is a great opportunity to join a close knit team in this fantastic business tucked away south of Otaki.  The company grows and processes crops for the export market and we are looking for a special person to join their team to supervise operations in the packhouse, and who has an understanding of logistics. 

Responsibilities:

• Management of packhouse operations and staff

• Production management - understanding stock requirements and workflow and ensuring the packhouse is able to keep up with orders.

• Ensuring health and safety requirements are met in a food production environment

• Keeping machinery operating

• Forklift operation

You will have: 

• At least 3 years experience in a similar role, or cross transferable skills in this area.

• Forklift and full drivers licence

• Knowledge of operating machinery and mechanically minded

• Understanding of health and safety in a food production environment.

• A good standard of physical fitness - this is a physically demanding role and some heavy lifting will be required.
