COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC PROGRAMMES MANAGER 

Join this closeknit team delivering exhibitions, workshops, and events to the District.  We are looking for an experienced,  energetic marketing professional with at least 5 years experience in writing creative briefs, planning and delivering marketing strategy and related campaigns - to budget

About the role:

Strong communications skills are a key element of this role where you will be responsible for: 

  • ·         Planning and delivering marketing strategy and related marketing campaigns. (Content supported by Curators)

  • ·         Drive web updates and all digital content including social media.  (Website updates supported by Gallery staff)

  • ·         Engage new audiences and raise profile of Toi MAHARA to support significant increase in visitor numbers.

  • ·         Promote all exhibitions, public programmes, events, workshops (local, regional, national) growing reach across all channels.

  • ·         Support delivery of design for all collateral and image production for all platforms.

  • ·         Producing newsletters

  • ·         Supporting promotion and marketing of gallery retail offerings via news and website.

  • ·         Supporting engagement with Elected Members and Council staff to inform of Toi MAHARA activities.

  • ·         Support Business Plan objectives including sponsorship, donors and other financial opportunities for fund-raising.

  • ·         Planning, scheduling, and delivery of public programmes, (workshops, events and community outreach) in collaboration with the team.

  • ·         Coordinate with gallery staff to deliver planned exhibition, events, and workshop programmes.

  • ·         Support Friends of Toi MAHARA with special event planning and communication.

To be successful you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years marketing/comms experience

  • Digital content delivery experience both website and socials

  • Previous experience in creating public events to encourage community involvement

  • The ability to develop marketing strategy to support business plan objectives, and to work to budget.

  • Extensive client management and stakeholder engagement experience

  • Collaborative working style
