Be the welcoming face and organisational backbone of a busy legal practice.
We are seeking a professional and friendly Legal Secretary / Receptionist to join a local legal firm. This is a varied role combining front-of-house reception with essential legal and administrative support. You’ll play a key part in creating a positive client experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
Greet clients and visitors, providing a warm and professional first impression
Answer calls, direct enquiries, and manage messages efficiently
Maintain electronic calendars, book appointments, and organise meeting rooms
Open and manage client files (digital and physical)
Communicate with clients regarding Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements
Prepare legal documents and correspondence using firm templates
Complete dictaphone typing, prioritising urgent work
Conduct title searches when required
Provide administrative support to legal staff and the Practice Manager
Order stationery, manage supplies, and coordinate couriers/mail
Assist with deed records, data entry, and general office administration
Support daily office tasks, including maintaining shared spaces and equipment
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Confident communicator with excellent client service skills
Able to multitask and prioritise effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience in digital dictation and general office systems
A reliable team player with a proactive attitude
